All applicants applying for the 4 year M.D. Program are required to finish at least (90 credit hours) of undergraduate studies which includes the following subjects and are the Pre-medical requirements for admission. Exceptions will be considered on an individual basis:
* These requirements are mandated by individual State Medical Boards in the United States and are required for medical licensure in each respective state.
The Doctor of Medicine (MD) 6 year program is for High School graduates. Students have two options:
Option1: Study first 2 years (Premedical) at Concordia College New York, 2 Years of Preclinical at TAU- Guyana and the last two years clinical rotations in USA.
Option2: Students shall study both Premedical and Preclinical programs at TAU Guyana and return to USA for the last two years of Clinical Rotations.
This 4 year Career Coordinated Program is available, but not limited, to the health care professionals like physician assistant, nurse practitioner, physical therapist, chiropractor, pharmacist, osteopath, podiatrist, dentist etc.,
Texila American University School of Medicine accepts transfer students each semester. We believe in the students' right to seek education at any academic institution where they feel they will receive the best education possible. Our Admissions Department evaluates transfer applications on a case by case basis. The following things are required for transfer students as per our transfer policy.
